MANILA, Philippines — San Beda, starring Raffy Cabug, overcame Arellano, 2-0, Monday to annex its fourth straight NCAA seniors football title at ASCOM pitch in Taguig.

Cabug broke the deadlock in the ninth minute, before finishing off the Chiefs with a well-struck penalty midway in the second half to give San Beda its 21st title.

The Red Lions posted a nine-game season sweep under new coach Christopher Pedimonte, last year’s Most Valuable Player.

San Beda also tied former NCAA member De La Salle’s record for most number of senior football championships.
