MANILA, Philippines — After becoming a 76er, one special teenager is set to become a Globetrotter.
The new addition to the legendary basketball team Harlem Globetrotters is 18-year-old Kevin Grow to i as the team’s 3-point specialist, a report from ESPN said.
Grow, who has Down syndrome, was a former Philadelphia 76er for two days, though he only took to the hardwood on a special presentation on halftime in their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Feb. 18 donning a number 33 jersey.
A devout Globetrotters fan from Phildelphia, Grow would play in the fourth quarter in a game on March 9 in the City of Brotherly Love.
The new Globetrotter spent four years as the manager of Bensalem High School boys’ team and hit four three pointers en route to a 14-point performance during basketball game, a video posted on Feb. 8 that has since went viral.
