Xavier rules Got Skills
The Xavier School Golden Stallions clinched two more titles at the close of the 1st Got Skills Age Group Basketball Showdown at Xavier School in San Juan last Sunday.
Xavier dominated four of five divisions after they ruled the 12- and 11-under categories, while Chiang Kai Shek College came away with the 13-U honors. Xavier took two other championships the other week.
Diego Alandy-Dy, who topscored for 26 points, emerged Finals MVP in 12-U after leading Xavier to a 62-53 win over Marist.
Ryan Yu, the 11-U Finals MVP, hit 10 points for the Golden Stallions as they got past San Beda-Taytay, 46-43.
In the 13-U side, Finals MVP Joshua Ramirez made 19 points and 10 rebounds and helped carry the CKSC Dragons to a 60-51 tripping of National U.
In the battle for third, Marist got 24 points from Jethro Escoto as they beat San Beda Alabang, 62-54, in the 11-under.
