Pacquiao-Marquez fifth clash looms

A fifth fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez could happen after all following the Mexican’s decision to pursue a fifth world crown.

Marquez’s promoter, Fernando Beltran, told the Los Angeles Times on Monday that Marquez, who has shunned another showdown with Pacquiao after knocking out the Filipino icon in the sixth round on Dec. 8, 2012, is now willing to fight the winner of the Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley rematch for the WBO welterweight title on April 12.

Marquez, 40, who lost to Bradley in October, himself needs to get past Mike Alvarado on May 17 for Pacquiao-Marquez V to happen.

Marquez earlier rejected a $12 million offer to fight Pacquiao again but wants to become the first Mexican to become a five-division world champion.
