MANILA, Philippines — Athletics chief Go Teng Kok will form a three-man committee to look into the complaint of long jumper Henry Dagmil against track and field coach Joseph Sy.

Dagmil, a three-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist, accused Sy of neglecting his duties as jump coach of the national team and for taking the ATM cards of athletes who borrowed money from the beleaguered coach.

“I decided to form a committee to investigate Joseph’s [alleged] wrongdoing,” said Go, president of the Philippine Amateur Track and Field Association. “It was only yesterday that I got informed of these issues against him. I told Joseph that he has to defend himself, I don’t want to intervene with the investigation.”

According to Go, he already came up with three names for the committee, people he hardly knew and independent from the Patafa.
