LeBron gets Samsung phone data erased, tweets it
MANILA, Philippines—He may be The King but cyber bugs have him humbled.
Reigning National Basketball Player Most Valuable Player LeBron James, who is also the de facto spokesman for electronics giant Samsung, took to Twitter his dismay after alleged bugs erased all the data on his Samsung phone.
Article continues after this advertisement“My phone just erased everything it had in it and rebooted. One of the sickest feelings I’ve ever had in my life!” James tweeted on March 12, probably not on his bugged phone.
James, however, deleted the tweet but not fast enough to escape one of his 12 million Twitter followers who went on a full-court 360o slam-dunk.
“That sound you just heard was everyone at Samsung facepalming simultaneously,” Twitter user Jen Clarke replied to the Heat forward’s tweet.
Article continues after this advertisementJames then later tweeted, dated March 13 on his account, that all was well and Samsung need not paste their palms on their faces.
“Close call. Wheew! Got all my info back. Gamer! Lol,” the two-time NBA champion said.
According to Mashable, Samsung worked with James to fully restore the data on his device.
