UAAP closing ceremonies Wednesday

MANILA, Philippines — Chess standout Jan Jodilyn Fronda of La Salle, taekwondo jin Nicole Cham of University of Santo Tomas and volleyball queen Alyssa Valdez of Ateneo lead the student-athletes vying for the Athlete of the Year honor when the UAAP Season 76 formally draws to a close Wednesday at Century Park Hotel in Manila.

The country’s premier collegiate league will also award the general championship to La Salle, which ruled for the second straight season after amassing 289 points built on six title runs.
