MANILA, Philippines — Cebu’s Southwestern University outlasted Baguio’s St. Louis University, 25-20, 23-25, 25-15, 21-25, 19-17, in the Shakey’s V-League Season 11 First Conference Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Marlyn Llagoso scored 19 points while doing most of her damage at the net with eight blocks for the Lady Cobras.
Guest player Lutgarda Malaluan added 15 points while Jannelle Cabahug and Sheena Quino had 12 points each for SWU, which battled back from 12-14 down in the deciding set.
Krissian Tsuchiya tallied a game-high 26 points but it still couldn’t lift the Lady Navigators to a win in their V-League debut.
