MANILA, Philippines — Coca-cola Philippines will reach out to at least 7,000 kids aged 13-16 when it partners with the Philippine Basketball Association for the third straight year in the Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars program.
Tryouts will start April 1 in Metro Manila, which will cover the cities of Valenzuela, Las Piñas, Taguig, Quezon City, Marikina, Malabon, Muntinlupa, Manila, Parañaque, Pasig, San Juan and Antipolo.
Tryouts in Pampanga, Baguio and Pangasinan in the North and Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Bacolod, Iloilo, Cebu, Zamboanga, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro in the South will also be held.
“Since we started in 2012, we were able to promote active, healthy participation for over 6,000 teens,” said Coca-Cola vice president for public affairs Adel Tamano, who launched the event Wednesday night at Smart Araneta Coliseum with PBA commissioner Chito Salud. Musong R. Castillo
