NCA heavyweights collide April 1

MANILA, Philippines — The much-awaited battle among the top cockfighters in the country will finally happen on April 1 as the National Cockers Alliance (NCA) holds a 6-cock derby at  Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The derby, to be hosted by Peter Unabia and Cesar Dy, will pit the who’s who of Philippine cockfighting.

“Jimafer BG,” the entry of Engr. Canlas, dominated the previous derby on March 25 with 5 points.

The  “National Barkadahan” entry of Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy Olano placed second with 4½ points.

In third place with 4 points each were “AA Cobra Señor” of Atong Ang, “HT3 San Juan Col” of Bong Pineda, “March 28 7-Cock” of Rep. Patrick Antonio, “SF Blue Quartz” of Bebot Uy and “Lucky Money RM” of Rene Medina  in the derby backed by Sagupaan Complexor.

“Kamenaman” of Ito Ynares, “Sanleo” of Elan Nagano, and “Flying Horse” of Cong. Panganiban placed fourth with 3½ points.

Among those with 3 points were “Pugad & LB Candelaria” of Ka Luding, “Wicked Orani” of Ruel Ricafort and “Sundance” of Ronnie Puno and Phil Sy.
