MANILA, Philippines — Iranian striker Milad Behgandom scored the fastest goal in league history on his way to a hat-trick that propelled Global to a 7-0 dumping of Pasargad Saturday night in the United Football League in Taguig.

Executing an early raid into the box to perfection, Behgandom scored with a well-placed header 10 seconds into the match to set the tone for another dominant performance by Global, which extended its lead over Loyola Meralco at the top to four points with nine matches left.

Mark Hartmann raised his tally to 19 for the season, while Daisuke Sato, Charles Pettys and Jeffrey Christiaens were also on target as Global sustained its ruthless form.

“We’re happy with seven more goals in the bag and three more points which is more important,” said Global coach Leigh Manson whose side has now scored a whopping 67 goals in their first 15 games of the season.
