MANILA—Far Eastern University moved closer to a semifinal slot in the UAAP Season 74 men’s volleyball action after beating University of the East, 21-11, 21-15, on Sunday at the Red Warriors’ home turf in Caloocan.
The victory was the fourth straight for FEU, but two teams—University of Santo Tomas and Adamson stayed threateningly close at second and third with 3-1 win-loss records.
The Growling Tigers downed the Ateneo Blue Eagles, 21-18, 21-15, while the Soaring Falcons disposed of the National U Bulldogs, 22-20, 21-17, to stay in the hunt for Final Four slots.
Also on Sunday, University of the Philippines scraped past La Salle, 17-21, 21-17, 21-15.
The Fighting Maroons, Green Archers and Red Warriors are tied at fourth with 2-2 records.
