D-League: Big Chill takes on Cebuana

Hoping to rise from recent unfortunate incidents, Big Chill aims to put its focus back on the game when it battles Cebuana Lhuillier in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup today at Meralco Gym in Pasig City.

The Superchargers try to rebound from their first loss, where they also got slapped with a hefty fine for staging a partial walkout, in the 2 p.m. match where they will dispute solo second with the Gems.

In the second game, Cagayan Valley goes for back-to-back wins against struggling Derulo Accelero at 4 p.m.

Last Monday, Big Chill coach Robert Sison complained early of unfair officiating against Blackwater Sports and had his Superchargers walk out in the second quarter as protest.

The Superchargers returned to the game, but still got blown out by the Elite, 75-93, for their first loss in three outings.

“Public interest dictates that walkouts can never be condoned,” league commissioner Chito Salud said in a letter after slapping the Superchargers a P150,000 fine.

Although Sison had described the officiating as “getting crazier,” he hopes his Superchargers bring back the form that got them off to a strong start.
