Looking to build momentum for the next round, Arellano targets a sweep of Group A against Adamson while National U targets a spot in the quarterfinals in the Shakey’s V-League Season 11 First Conference at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Having formalized their entry to the quarterfinals with a victory over St. Louis U last Tuesday, the Lady Chiefs try to extend their unbeaten start to five matches as they target an elimination round sweep in the 2 p.m. duel with the Lady Falcons.

The match is also vital to the quarterfinal aspirations of Adamson, which holds a 2-1 record.

The Lady Falcons can secure the second quarterfinals berth in Group A and could virtually shut the door on SLU’s hopes of making the next round.

Sporting a 3-0 record, the Lady Bulldogs will become the first quarterfinalist from Group B if they beat the dangerous Far Eastern U Lady Tamaraws in the 4 p.m. match.

NU assured itself of at least a playoff for a berth in the quarterfinals with a straight set win over a shorthanded San Sebastian last Tuesday.

But the Lady Bulldogs are expected to have their hands full against an FEU squad that nailed its first win against San Sebastian.

The Lady Tamaraws, led by Bernadette Pons, Joy Palma and Tony Rose Basas, are also seeking to bounce back from a tough four set loss to University of Santo Tomas.
