Malayan dribblers retain top spot

MANILA, Philippines — Malayan School of Science sustained its winning streak as it thumped St. Vincent School, 125-48, to keep the solo lead in the 2014 Summer League Basketball Tournament at Dapitan Sports Complex in Manila.

Daniel Aguirre finished with a game-high 25 points for Malayan, which posted its fourth win.

King’s Montessori School and University of Santo Tomas High School also prevailed over their respective foes to stay tied for second place with similar 3-1 cards in the tournament organized by the Manila Inter-Commercial Athletic Association.

King’s Montessori turned back Escuela De Saphia of Caloocan, 78-71, while UST High School  rolled past Ernesto Rondon High, 104-38.
