MANILA, Philippines— Malacañang is confident that boxing champion and Saranggani Representative Manny Pacquiao will emerge victorious in his boxing rematch against Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand arena on Sunday.

“Umaasa po tayong isa na namang pagtumba ang mangyayari. Confident tayo na mananaig is Manny Pacquiao over Timothy Bradley” deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said in an interview on radio.

On their first boxing match in June 2012, Bradley seized the World Boxing Organization belt from Pacquiao with a narrow split decision that many believed the American boxer did not deserve.

On Saturday, Pacquiao and Bradley hit the scale and both made weight.

Pacquiao tipped the scale at 145 pounds (65.77 kg) while Bradley weighed in at 145.5 pounds.
