Freddie Roach’s orders: No mercy

LAS VEGAS—Freddie Roach thinks he has hatched the perfect plan for Manny Pacquiao.

It’s now up to Pacquiao to follow the instructions strictly when he tries to wrest back the title snatched from him by Timothy Bradley in 2012.

Roach’s marching orders are: Show no mercy and close the show.

Pacquiao has fine-tuned his jabs, worked on rapid-fire combinations, further enhanced his foot movement and built up his stamina to go the full route without running out of gas.

If before, Pacquiao capitalizes on strong finishes to gain the judges’ nod, Roach now wants him to keep the bombardment from the opening of every round.

A rejuvenated Pacquiao, according to Roach, will showcase these attributes against Bradley.
