Lady Tams upset Lady Blazers; CEU belles stay unscathed
MANILA, Philippines — Far Eastern University eked out a surprise 55-48 win over College of St. Benilde and kept its title hopes alive in the 3rd Pilipinas Chinese Amateur Basketball League (PCABL) Dickies Women’s Cup elimination over the weekend at CEU Lumera Tower gym in Legarda.
Clare Castro sparkled for the lady Tamaraws, dominating both ends to finish with 15 points and 15 rebounds as they tied the Lady Blazers at 2-4.
The 6-foot-4 Castro claimed her first Player of the Game award in the six-team caging.

CEU leaned on a big fourth quarter to beat UAAP champion La Salle, 72-65, and extend its winning streak to six games, while the Tigress clobbered newcomer Fatima, 77-20, for a 5-1 record.
The Lady Archers slipped to 3-3, in danger of missing the finals.
