MANILA, Philippines — After carving a niche in world pro boxing, Ana “The Hurricane” Julaton is bringing her act in the One Fighting Championship.
The first Filipino to win the women’s WBO super bantamweight and IBA super bantamweight world titles faces Egyptian kickboxing champion Aya Saeid Saber in the One FC: Rise of Heroes on May 2 at MOA Arena.
“She’s (Saber) an experienced MMA warrior and I know she will bring her best in the cage,” said the 33-year-old San Francisco-based Julaton, who joined the One FC bandwagon early this month.
Aside from her boxing skills, Julaton has a black belt in taekwondo and bok fu, which combines kung fu fighting styles with kenpo karate and shotokan.
