Successful coaches to get raise

MANILA, Philippines — Successful coaches under the national team program would soon get a raise from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

PSC chair Richie Garcia Wednesday said the agency has drawn up a performance-based formula that will compensate the effort of coaches.

“We haven’t adjusted the salaries of coaches for quite a while and many of them deserve to be compensated for their time and dedication to the athletes,” said Garcia.

Trainers and coaches are being paid by the PSC between P10,000 to P30,000 every month.
