Big Chill freezes Cafe France to arrest skid
MANILA, Philippines –Big Chill hacked out a 68-54 win over Cafe France on Thursday to snap a three-game slide in the 2014 PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
Quinton Heruela had a double-double performance of 13 points and 11 assists to carry the Super Chargers, who stayed in the hunt for a playoff spot with the victory.
Article continues after this advertisementBig Chill kept Bakers on the run with its up-tempo game and led by as many as 18 points, but needed a 10-3 spurt in the second period to pull away.
“I’m relieved. We’ve really have been struggling the past five games. But today I thought we’re consistent,” said Big Chill coach Robert Sison.
“We treated this game as a do-or-die game. Hopefully, this win will help boost our confidence.”

Alfred Batino tallied 15 points for Café France. He also pulled down 10 boards as the Bakers outrebounded Big Chill, 51-49.
