MANILA, Philippines — San Sebastian tries to stay alive Tuesday against a Davao squad that now looks vulnerable in the Shakey’s V-League Season 11 First Conference at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The Lady Stags, who saw the Agilas crash for the first time Sunday, hope to pull off a similar upset in their 2 p.m. clash on the final day of eliminations for the last quarterfinal berth in Group B.
University of Santo Tomas, the conqueror of the Agilas last Sunday, tries to wrap up its elimination run with a win over ousted Perpetual Help at 4 p.m.
A Lady Stags win will put them in a tie with Far Eastern University at 2-3 and forge a playoff for the last quarterfinal slot on Thursday.
But if the Agilas rebound from their first setback, the idle Lady Tamaraws will advance.
Arellano, Ateneo and Adamson, all tied at 4-1, and St. Benilde earlier nailed Group A slots.
In Group B, National University (4-1), Davao (3-1) and UST (3-1) have earlier secured their seats in the Final Eight.
The Agilas saw their amazing run halted by the Tigresses, 23-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-17, last Sunday. Jasmine W. Payo
