Cyna Rodriguez closed out with a one-under-par 71 to win the ICTSI Orchard Ladies Championship by five strokes over Jayvie Agojo yesterday at the well-manicured Player layout in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
The reigning Order of Merit champion played her final 12 holes at one-under and left the field in her wake, winning her third straight championship on the Ladies tour with a 212 tally and pocketing the P100,000 purse that went with it.
Agojo, who was slowed down tremendously by a second round 77 on Tuesday, fired a 70 and came from behind to bag second at 217, three strokes ahead of first round leader Chihiro Ikeda, who carded a 75.
“It was a very good week overall. There were misses and near-misses but I am happy to come out on top,” said Rodriguez, who won the last two legs of the inaugural season of the country’s first women’s tour.
