Record field joins Marikina softball

A record field of 41 teams, including 23 in the women’s side of the competition, will see action in the 2014 Cebuana Lhuillier Summer  Grandslam 8 Softball Championship starting tomorrow.

Also included in the week-long event to be hosted by Marikina City, headed by Mayor Del de Guzman, are four foreign teams.

Defending men’s open champion Indonesia skipped this years edition, but reigning women’s open champion Adamson University will be present.

The men’s open division will be a wide open competition among the two Philippine Air Force teams, Philippine Navy, and the foreign squads.
