MANILA, Philippines — Reggie Williams atoned for two missed free throws with a defensive gem to preserve a San Miguel Beer win over San Mig Coffee, 92-90, in the 2014 PBA Governors’ Cup Sunday night at the Mall of Asia.

Williams came up empty at the charity stripe with 5.6 seconds left that would’ve sealed the game but he eventually made up for it with a steal on Mixers’ import Marqus Blakely before he dribbled out the waning seconds.

Williams, the former Oklahoma City Thunder guard, wound up with 29 points, firing three triples in the fourth quarter alone with his final 3-pointer giving his team an 88-83 lead with under two minutes left.

June Mar Fajardo posted a double-double with 18 points and 18 rebounds for San Miguel Beer, which improved to 2-1.

The Mixers slid to 1-1.
