OKAYAMA, Japan—Juvic Pagunsan shot the tournament’s low round of 7-under-par 65 Saturday and moved up to solo second after three rounds of the Gate Way To The Open Mizuno Open 2014 of the Japan Golf Tour here.
The former Asian Tour Order of Merit winner finished birdie-eagle to cap a back-nine 31 at the JFE Setonaikai Golf Club and wound up with a 206 total, just two shots off new leader of Jang Dong-kyu of South Korea, who shot a 67.
Pagunsan was two shots ahead of Hiroshi Iwata, who carded a 73. Meanwhile, Paul Casey shot another 6-under-66 to build a three-shot lead over Masters champion Bubba Watson as Rory McIlroy fatered in the second round of the Memorial in Dublin, Ohio Friday. Casey was at 12-under 132.
