MANILA, Philippines — JV Gallego scored 17 of his game-high 27 points in the payoff period to power Chiang Kai Shek College past Far Eastern University, 73-67, as the Dragons clinched the PCABL (Philippine Chinese Amateur Basketball League) 7th Freego Cup Saturday at Philippine Buddhacare Academy gym in Quezon City.

It was the Dragons’ first title in the annual preseason tournament for high school. Gallego also had seven rebounds and two assists to win the Finals Most Valuable Player award.
