4 Slasher entries show way; finals tomorrow
Participants for the 2014 World Slasher Cup-2 8-Cock Invitational Derby brace for the final stretch set tomorrow at Smart Araneta Coliseum with the 4-cock finals for entries with 2, 2.5 & 3 points and the 4-cock grand finals on June 8 among undefeated bets with 3.5 or 4 points apiece.
The 2-cock semifinals last Wednesday between the first batch of competitors resulted in only four entries maintaining unblemished slates: Thunderbird Sabongnation’s Pol Estrellado, Gov. Eddie Bong Plaza, Arjay Mejia and Eddie Araneta.
Plaza, the Agusan del Norte governor, dominated the evening, finishing with one entry with 4 points, another entry with 3.5 points and a third bet with 3 wins and 1 loss.
