PBA Press Corps holds Caballes students’ sportswriting contest

College students looking to embark on a career in sportswriting may join the PBA Press Corps-2014 Willie Caballes PBA Sportswriting Contest on June 15 and 16, the last two play dates of the elimination round of the PLDT Home Telpad Governors’ Cup.

PBAPC president Barry Pascua of Bandera said participants will be tested in covering an actual PBA game. The event has the support of the Office of Senator Sonny Angara, sports agent Charlie Dy and the PBA Commissioner’s Office.

The second part of their test will determine their skills in deadline writing.

The PBA Press Corps’ panel of judges will select the top three winners. The winner will receive P7,000, the second placer P5,000 and the third placer P3,000. They will also receive gift certificates from the PBAPC.
