SAMUI, Thailand—Antonio Lascuña remained in contention for a top 10 finish by firing a 1-under-par 70 to trail leader Poom Saksansin of Thailand by nine strokes after three rounds of the $300,000 Queen’s Cup Bangkok Airways Saturday.
Lascuña, with earlier rounds of 69-71 in the Asian Tour event, stood at 210 in a tie with two others for 10th place. He also wound up in a three-way deadlock for third in the ICTSI Philippine Open two weeks ago.
Miguel Tabuena carded a 71 for 213 and Mars Pucay rallied with a 68 for 214. Meanwhile, Juvic Pagunsan missed the halfway cut of the PGA Championship of the Japan Golf Tour in Hyogo with rounds of 76-74 Friday.
Pagunsan placed second in the Mizuno Open last week and made it to the British Open next month.
