RC-Air Force seeks semis slot vs Army

MANILA, Philippines — RC Cola-Air Force targets an outright semifinal slot when it takes on Generika-Army even as PLDT Home Tvolution guns for win No. 3 against fading Cignal Wednesday in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference at Cuneta Astrodome.

At 4-1, the Raiders can ensure their trip to the semis with a victory. But they will have to scuttle the Rising Lady Troopers, who got a major boost with the arrival of veteran setter Tina Salak the past two matches.

With their cores made up of the top competitors in the AFP Olympics, both RC Cola-Air Force and Generika-Army are expected to engage in a tough, exciting battle starting at 2 p.m.

The Power Attackers hope to improve their record going to the next round when they collide with the winless Cignal HD Spikers at 4 p.m.

Esteban found success in mixing old reliables with hotshot rookies like Iari Yongco and Jocemer Tapik.
