San Miguel Beer’s Fajardo paces BPC, MVP race
MANILA, Philippines — San Miguel Beer’s June Mar Fajardo, who paces the statistical race for Best Player of the Conference in the ongoing PBA Governors’ Cup, also finds himself on top of the MVP ladder.
Fajardo, the six-foot-10 sophomore, averaged 43.8 statistical points in Governors’ Cup and 37.6 overall including his Philippine Cup stint where he was named BPC.

Talk ‘N Text’s Jayson Castro, the Commissioner’s Cup BPC, is in third with a 31.4 SPs average while Barangay Ginebra San Miguel’s Greg Slaughter, the only rookie in the Top 30 players in the running for MVP, (30.8) and Fajardo’s teammate and reigning MVP Arwind Santos wound up the top five.
Fajardo leads all locals in points (21.8) and rebounds (16.0) and is tied with Slaughter in blocks (1.4).
