COLEEN Sioson snared two titles including the premier girls’ 18-under class while age-group hotshot Rafaella Villanueva ruled the 14-under division in the Palawan Pawnshop-president Edwin L. Olivarez regional tennis championships over the weekend.
The 14-year-old Sioson, who hails from Bataan, also topped the 16-under division to complete the championship double she pulled off over Chloe Mae Saraza on both occasions. She won, 6-2, 6-2, in the 18-under and 7-5, 6-2 in the 16-under at Olivarez Sports Complex in Parañaque City.
But the big revelation was 13-year-old Villanueva who downed Saraza, 6-4, 6-2, for the crown.
Villanueva earlier crushed eventual 12-under champ Miles Vitaliano (6-1, 6-1) in the Last 4. Vitaliano tripped Lourdes Pe, 6-1, 6-2, for the 12-under crown.

Other winners: Betto Orendain in the boys’ 18-under, Brian Decasa in the boys’ 16-under, Marcus Del Rosario in the boys’ 14-under, Aljon Talatayod in the boys’ 12-under and Samuel Saguit in 10-under unisex.
