Kid Molave chases 2nd Triple Crown jewel
MANILA, Philippines — Kid Molave guns for the second jewel of the Triple Crown series Sunday against a pruned-down field that doesn’t have the stayer that he conquered in the first leg less than a month ago.
The colt by Info Mischief out of Unsaid, with John Alvin Guce on top, will most likely be sent off as the hot pick for the 1,800-meter race featuring eight runners but minus Dixie Gold at the Santa Ana Park in Naic, Cavite.
Dixie Gold finished just a length behind Kid Molave in the first leg at the Metro Turf track in Malvar, Batangas, where the winner clocked an impressive 1-minute and 36.6 seconds for the mile over a relatively loose track.

Low Profile, who beat Kid Molave in a regular race leading to the Triple Crown, is also entered and is given an outside chance, with Kaiserslautern and coupled entry Tap Dance, Macho Machine and Matang Tubig rounding out the field.
More than the P1.8 million champion’s purse, another win will set up Kid Molave for a shot at the sweep, which Hagdang Bato pulled off last year.
