MANILA, Philippines—After another disappointing season, Globalport parted ways with its promising rookie and added a versatile forward that could make immediate impact right away.

The Batang Pier shipped guard RR Garcia to Barako Bull for Keith Jensen, who showed improvement for the Energy in the PBA Governors’ Cup, in a one-on-one trade approved by the PBA Office Tuesday.

Garcia, who was drafted sixth overall by Globalport in the 2013 Draft, averaged 6.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in his first season in the league.

The 6-foot-5 Jensen, whose versatility allows himself to play either forward positions, can stretch the floor with his outside shooting.

Jensen, 26, was selected eighth overall by Barangay Ginebra in the 2012 Draft.

The former Far Eastern University star Garcia will join fellow rookie Jeric Fortuna and veterans Denok Miranda and Willie Miller at the guard spot for the Energy.

The Batang Pier won just seven games in their 2014 stint, including 1-8 records in the last two conferences while the Energy ended their season on a high note after making the Governors’ Cup quarterfinals before eventually losing to the top-seeded Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters.
