MANILA, Philippines – FIFA World Cup has gotten the ball rolling – in every sense of the word – with opening ceremonies and activities since June 12 in Brazil. So what better way to kick off this celebration with Filipinos than collaboration between two top global companies, Coca-Cola and 7-Eleven!

As early as last year, Coca-Cola and 7-Eleven tied up to produce an exclusive shopper experience that will be offered to FIFA enthusiasts globally. In the Philippines, consumers will get a chance to score official FIFA premium items that will only be found exclusively in 7-Eleven stores nationwide.

As a way of launching this tie up, and to promote the FIFA World Cup, 7-Eleven and Coca-Cola associates engaged in a friendly football match last June 18 at the Emperador Stadium. The day was packed with action, excitement and loud cheers from the crowd as teams from both companies actively participated in the sport.

In addition, some enthusiastic crowd members also played some onsite games to win these exciting items.

Juan Ramon Felix, the President of Coca-Cola FEMSA, mentioned that this is a great opportunity for Coca-Cola and 7-Eleven to speak with one voice driving a global movement. General Merchandise Division Manager, Jose Ang Jr. added that this promotion would allow Filipino consumers to experience the FIFA World Cup without having to leave the country.

FIFA premium items include an official Coke Football, a collectible FIFA Mascot (Fuleco) Figurine, Charm bracelets and magnets. Consumers have the chance to win these items when they visit a 7-Eleven store and purchase any Coca-Cola product. The promo duration is from June 18 to July 18, 2014.
