ROGERS, Arkansas—Jennifer Rosales shot her lowest opening round in a long while on the US LPGA Tour with a 4-under-par 67 to trail leader Alena Sharp of Canada by two strokes after the first round of the NW Arkansas Championship Friday.
A two-time LPGA winner who has been in a long slump, Rosales rallied with 3-under 32 coming home at Pinnacle Country Club. She was a stroke behind Michelle Wie, the American star who won the US Women’s Open last weekend, and Mexico’s Alejandra Llaneza, who shot 66s. AP
