Board, RoS accept Salud’s apology
THERE will be no redraw, but at least Rain or Shine got the message across.
The PBA’s board of governors discussed Tuesday’s controversial Draft lottery in an emergency meeting yesterday following a complaint from Rain or Shine and unanimously agreed to institute reforms in the proceedings.
Also during the same meeting, Rain or Shine representative Mamerto Mondragon accepted the apology of commissioner Chito Salud as the body vowed to support the commissioner in his efforts for a better PBA.
“We were one in saying that we really need to improve the procedure [of the Draft lottery],” Pato Gregorio of PLDT, the incoming chair, told reporters.
The Painters, though, did not get the redrawing of the lottery as the board decided to move forward from the incident.
“It was a free-wheeling discussion and Rain or Shine management accepted the apology, they were very gracious,” Gregorio said. “We acknowledged the lapses. We have to keep on improving. We will move forward and make sure that we address this properly.”
