MANILA, Philippines–A coaching rigodon will take place among business tycoon Manny V. Pangilinan’s PBA teams, the Inquirer learned late Tuesday night.

Talk ‘N Text and Meralco, two old members of the PBA, which both underachieved in the season that ends Wednesday, are expected to have new coaches in time for the next opening on Oct. 19.

Norman Black has coached Talk ‘N Text for the last two seasons, winning the Philippine Cup in 2013 but failed to register a follow up to that in the next five conferences.

The Tropang Texters’ loss to San Mig Coffee in four games of the Commissioner’s Cup Finals and in five games in the final four of the Governors’ Cup.

Ryan Gregorio, meanwhile, has been on top of the Meralco program ever since the Bolts were admitted to the league three seasons ago. He will be coming off one of his worst seasons by failing to make it pass the eliminations of the last two conferences.

A source refused to say who would go where but said that part of the announcement would involve naming the coach of MVP’s third PBA team, the NLEX Road Warriors.

The announcement is expected to be made before the end of this week.
