Lascuna, Que banner ICTSI Iloilo leg
Fancied Antonio Lascuna and Angelo Que get their respective bids going as the ICTSI Iloilo Golf Championship unfurls Wednesday at Sta. Barbara in Iloilo City.
Que tees off at 7:10 am in the company of fellow former Philippine Open champion Cassius Casas and Mark Fernando at No. 1, while Lascuna will be joined by Rey Pagunsan and Carl Santos-Ocampo in the 7:20 p.m. group from No. 10.
The absence of Miguel Tabuena and defending champion Mars Pucay made Que and Lascuna the logical picks to rule the P1 million event, the first of two stops in the Visayas. Action goes to Bacolod next week.

The 35-year-old Que, because of his sheer length alone, can turn the charming Sta. Barbara layout upside down, while Lascuna has the short game and accuracy off the tees to make this event a low-scoring one.
Elmer Salvador, another former Open champ, is also in the field and is one of the men to watch in the chase for the P200,000 winner’s purse. Salvador is chasing a second victory this season.

Only 63 players have declared to play in the event with the other notables being Marvin Dumandan, Ferdie Aunzo and Charles Hong, the winner of the P3.5 million Sherwood Hills leg.
Que has been training double time trying to get back to 100 percent form after taking a couple of months off to attend to the birth of his first son last February.
“I have been working hard and I know that it will come back sooner than later,” Que said after a practice round at the Southwoods’ Legends layout last Saturday.
