Big Pasay derby gets going today; top cockers vying

Some of the derby circuit’s finest cockers are seeing action in the Palito and Rey 4-Cock Derby backed by Sagupaan Complexor today at Pasay City Cockpit.

The Batangas group of Tony Lasala, the derby’s host, said the list of competitors includes Pol Estrellado, LB Candelaria, RJ Mea, Charlie “Atong” Ang, Benjie Lim, Jorge Fajardo, Max Roxas, FFG Archers, Rodolfo Pineda, Tady Palma, Danny Antipolo, Bangbang Lagbas, Rep. Peter Unabia and Allan Siaco.

Up next at PCC is the “Pahabol Sa Taglugon” 4-Cock Derby hosted by Bobbit Ples on July 25.

Meanwhile, the annual Pasay Big Event 8-Stag Derby hosted by cockfight “Idol” and Rep. Patrick Antonio, Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy Olano fires off on Aug. 25 and 29.

Screening of stags with six primary wing feathers intact starts Aug. 1.
