Pakitang Gilas cagers overwhelm Wi-Tribe
MANILA, Philippines—The sportswriters’ basketball team Pakitang Gilas kicked off its title bid in the 2011 Celebrity and Corporate Cup with a 74-43 rout of Wi-Tribe on Saturday at The Zone in Makati City.
Ethan Tiu scored 27 points, three rebounds and four assists, and Eric Uy made 12 points and nine assists as the squad backed by Harbour Centre, Gatorade, Accel, 3XVI, San Miguel Corp. and the Philippine Sportswriters Association won their debut game.
