Great Petron beach volley start for FEU
FAR EASTERN U standouts Bernadette Pons and Charm Simborio came up with an impressive frontline game and posted three straight wins yesterday at the start of the third leg of the 12th Petron Ladies’ Beach Volleyball tournament at De La Salle-Health Sciences Institute in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
Pons and Simborio first got past San Beda College-1’s Debbie Dultra and Carmina Rebolledo, 21-19, before putting away Emilio Aguinaldo College-1’s Charmille Belleza and Clara Camille Lozada.
They capped their opening romp with a 21-6 swamping of Letran-1’s Jan Carreon and Kathleen Barrinuevo.

They moved ahead unbeaten in Group A, with Philippine Christian U standouts Alyanna Marie Gorospe and Alicia Adolfo expected to challenge them for a semifinals seat.
Gorospe and Adolfo eked out a pair of hard-earned victories, including a 21-18 triumph over SBC’s Dultra and Rebolledo.
