Asia Pacific karatedo starts July 30

THE REGION’S best karatekas will converge at Festival Supermall in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, from July 30 to Aug. 3 for the 3rd Asia Pacific Karatedo and Kabudo Championship.

Apart from Filipino karatekas, the annual event to be held at the mall’s second level Carousel Court has also drawn competitors from Iran, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

The participants’ ages range from 10 to 45 years old.

This year’s event is organized by the Philippine Karate League, which is dedicated to promoting the sport through education programs all over the country.

FEATURED STORIES

Aside from the competition proper on Aug. 1-3, the event will also have sports exhibits and fun games for the family to enjoy.

Budding karatekas can also attend seminars about martial arts on Aug. 1.
