Superbikes, underbone, scooter leg 4 tomorrow
DEFENDING champion Dashi Watanabe will gun for his fourth consecutive win as the fourth legs of the 2014 Pirelli Superbikes Championship Series, Philippine Scooter Racing Championships and Underbone King Championships unfold tomorrow at Clark International Speedway.
Watanabe will renew his rivalry with Raniel Resuello in the Superbikes leg.
Reigning Underbone king Niño Fabian will also eye another triumph to fortify his quest for back-to-back victories against Johnlery Enriquez and third leg winner Herbert Lopez while Masato Fernando seeks a repeat in the Scooter races.
Article continues after this advertisementEqually exciting is the Superbikes Cup which will serve as a junior league for promising Superbikes riders. It initially lured 34 riders, with Clint Nolasco pulling off a sweep of the two races for the Class A crown.
Josh Shepley and Richard Panlilio split honors in Class B.
Watanabe has a total of 75 points after his third straight win.
Out to challenge Watanabe and Resuello are Marvin Mangulabnan, Anthony Roman, Enriquez, Jussi Hoikka, Jericho Arnaiz, Lawrence Macalinao and Rizaldy Canare, among others.
