Fernando, Lopez rule FDR races

MANILA, Philippines — MASATO Fernando and Herbert Lopez ruled the third legs of their respective series recently at Clark International Speedway.

Fernando displayed clean riding to rule the 180cc PSR champion of the 2014 FDR Philippine Scooter Racing Championship Series.

Lopez pulled ahead early and kept his pace all the way to capture the premiere 150cc Open crown of the 2014 FDR Underbone King Championship Series.

Both races are part of the 2014 Motorsports Championship Season presented by Petronas and sanctioned by the Underbone and Scooters Racing Association (USRA).

Fernando dismissed the challenge of James Barcial and Paul Mark Doblada to wrap up the 10-lap race in 11 minutes and 40.934 seconds.

Lopez likewise went coast-to-coast to clinch the premiere 150cc Open crown by 1.086 seconds over runner-up John Emerson Inguito and Romer Corbe.
