Centro Escolar University kicks off its bid for a fourth straight seniors title when the 45th Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA) gets under way Saturday at Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

CEU will take on San Beda Alabang at 3 p.m. while De La Salle Zobel, also a three-time defending champion in the midgets level, and Poveda open hostilities at 12 noon.  Host La Salle College Antipolo will take on St. Paul Pasig in the juniors division at 1:30 p.m.

Ninoy Aquino Stadium will host the opening rites staring at 11 a.m. La Salle volleyball player Mika Reyes, who saw action for St. Scholastica’s College in the WNCAA during her high school years, will be the guest speaker.  This year’s theme is “Women in Action @ Forth Fifth Season.”

“This is a perfect opportunity for LSCA to host WNCAA because this is our 10th year as league member and 30th year as an academic institution,” said  LSCA executive vice chancellor Jimelo Tipay.  Romina S. Austria
