Huey, Inglot upbeat on US Open bid
Filipino tennis star Treat Huey and British partner Dominic Inglot remained optimistic of their coming US Open campaign despite bowing out in the first round of their last two warmup tournaments.
Hoping to at least match their quarterfinal stint last year in the US Open slated to start Aug. 25, the long-time partners Huey and Inglot are now focused on two more tournaments before going to New York.
The pair dropped a narrow 7-6 (7-2), 4-6, (10-2) defeat to Jamie Murray of Great Britain and John Peers of Australia in the opening round of the Rogers Cup last Tuesday in Toronto for top 1,000 ATP players.
