Netizens say: ‘Congrats UP’ after first UAAP win in 27 games

MANILA, Philippines— After the University of the Philippines (UP) ended its 27-game slide with a 77-64 win over the Adamson University, netizens, alumni and non-alumni, took to social media to express their jubilation.

On Twitter, #CongratsUP became the number one trending topic in the Philippines on Saturday afternoon.

Also, #bonfire became a trending topic after UP Vice President for Public Affairs Prospero de Vera announced that a bonfire would be held at the university’s sunken garden at 6:00 p.m. Saturday.
