Lady Eagles’ Shakey’s V-L semis hopes alive

Don’t count Ateneo out just yet.

The Lady Eagles kept their semifinal hopes alive with a come-from-behind 17-25, 25-23, 27-25, 25-19 victory over the Cagayan Valley Rising Suns Sunday night in the Shakey’s V-League Season 11 First Conference at Filoil Flying V Arena.

With leading scorer Alyssa Valdez getting ample support, the Lady Eagles sustained their amazing run in the quarterfinals, where they have won all of their three matches so far.

With a 5-5 record, the Lady Eagles need to sweep their last two games and hope that either Cagayan and Air Force do not go beyond seven wins to forge a playoff for a semifinal spot.
